Mixed Martial Art is one of the most volatile sports in history. And the rate at which new athletes come and go is staggering. The older generations are continuously being replaced by the younger fighters. And let’s be blunt – there is no shortage of promising new fighters that come around each year. That being said, here’s our list of some of the biggest prospects in MMA for the time being.

Kron Gracie

Right off the bat, when you’re reading the last name of this fighter, you know that it’s MMA royalty that we’re talking about. Kron Gracie is the son of BJJ and early MMA legend, Rickson Gracie himself. Kron is a fighter that followed his father’s advice not to go into the deep waters very early in his career. So, he fought for a while in relatively unknown organizations around the world – like RIZIN in Japan – and he showed great success there. Now it’s the time for the big challenge. Kron managed to choke out with relative ease his first UFC opponent – Alex Caceres. He lost the next bout against a very hard veteran opponent – Cub Swanson. However, Kron is still one of the hottest prospects in MMA.

Valerie Loureda

This is a fighter that has a huge level of marketability, a young and very talented TaeKwonDo master, using her legs as powerful weapons. She recently had her first fight in the Bellator promotion – and she won very easily, at that. Her popularity is quickly growing, and so are her skill sets. There’s no telling what this girl might do in the sport of MMA in the future.

Paulo Costa

This is a giant of a man – ready to do some serious damage in UFC’s middleweight division. All his previous fights were wars; he even managed to get the better out of Yoel Romero in a vicious back and forth fight. He has had some problems with USADA in the past, but he’s currently on the roster and ready to face the biggest challenge of his career yet – the young champion Israel Adesanya.

Zabit Magomedsharipov

Dagestan came out on the MMA map after Khabib tore the UFC lightweight roster apart by dominating all the fighters he fought against – including The Notorious Conor McGregor. Well, as it turns out, Dagestan is a foundry of champions. One of the hottest young prospects that come out of this place goes by the quirky name of Zabit Magomedsharipov. He shows devastating prowess in dealing with serious damage to his opponents – and he’s currently up and about destroying people in UFC’s featherweight division.

At the end of the day, there are thousands upon thousands of young people that show promise and huge potential in the field of MMA and combat sports. And there’s no way that we can cover all of their careers. These were some of the top young prospects that you need to keep an eye on.
